How to clone an x51v?

I have three X51v's and would like to keep them configured
identically. I don't use any of the PIM functions, so don't use activesync
at all.
I tried a full backup on one machine, using the inbuilt data backup
program, and restore to another,
but not all settings are backed up...Email setup in particular.
I had to manually re-enter all the mail server settings and passwords.

Is there an easy/free way to clone an X51v that gets all the setup?
Thanks, mike

There is SPB backup but that's not free. You can give the trial a try.

Of course there is also Sprite Backup which also has a free trial. I've been using it for a year and a half to do complete daily backups of my x51v.

neither Sprite or SPB will save/restore the email account settings if a hard reset is needed. Once manually setup the device will keep the settings through a restore process!

Why not?

Just curious - why do you want to have 3 identical axims ?

If you had three axims, why would you want them to be different?

Depends what you do with them, and they will never be identical, unless they are all syncing to the same folder on your PC.

I use one to test software, andd do reviews, one to carry all day every day, and one to..., a spare

I just guess that you've bought 3 axims for some specific purpose which I can't imagine - that's why I'm curious :scratch_h

I bought the last one because I can sell my palm for what it cost me for
the last TWO axims and get rid of a cradle and wires and wall wart and...and such. Seemed like a no-brainer.
And no, I have no real use for 17 PDA's. But now that i have three x51v's,
I'd like to keep 'em close in configuration so I can just pick up one
and know what to expect.
A FREE COPMPLETE backup that could do a COMPLETE RESTORE
would be less hassle. Looks like that ain't gonna happen.

Ok, spamme - it's your money :o

Once I had an ax for my job and one for private use.

On my job (service) we had a common email account and calender on a server, so I didn't wan't my private informations to turn up almost in public.

My private ax has (among other things) a GPS system.

Common programs and data were kept on a memory card - easy to copy and back up.

I still use my Palm Vx for things like shopping and about 100+ birthdays.
I find it better suited :)

My way ....
