I have done Airheads, it was around 115 MBs. Episodes of Duck Tales were around 28MB's with great quality (duck tales is about 18-20 min.) my CF is 512, so I got plenty of room.. However I am planning to get a 1GIG or 4 gig micro drive, if i could sell this CFcard. Anyone wants it? I paid $160 Lexar 12x..

I doubt that cartoons are public domain, same goes for anime. You can find alot of this stuff in various newsgroups through. However I am not in any way advocating that. ;)
The other way to get TV episodes is to buy a TV Tuner card for your PC. They run from about $30-over$100, but the basic $30-$50 card should suit you fine. Most come with software that will record the shows for you in various formats, much like a VCR. Some come with Tivo type functions as well.
And Windows Movie Maker is actually a pretty good tool. The new WM9 codecs are darn good and have DiVX quality with slightly smaller file sizes (compared to DiVX5). This is Windows Movie Maker 2, not 1. Only work on XP I believe, but the best part is that it's a free d/l from MS.
rustyz82, take a look at PPCVIDZ They offer alot of free streaming video for viewing on your desktop or PocketPC and with a small subscription you can download 100's of cartoons and other videos. The Divx there at their site was done by me or by using my encoding guides BigDs Video Encoding Guides Most of the videos or public Domain, but they are working on DRM , to be able to offer recent release videos for PocketPC. They could use all the support we can give them.

I see. What's quality of their movies like? I have seen T3 and X2 at one of my friends' and they weren't anywhere near what I have done with Duck Tales, quality wise.
I totally agree getting a Tvtuner card, internal - PCI ones go for 25 to 50, decent, good for what you want to do as isosceles mentioned. Second option, if you don't want to fiddle around your pc, get an external capture device, you don't need anything fancy like DV or firewire, USB should do fine, even better there are USB TV-Tuners, FPS is a bit lower than what you get on PCI's but, should be enough for PPC videos. ALso there are USB to RCA input devices, which just feeds your PC with video signal..
Check your options at your local retailer or big online stores~!
Good Luck

I have a leadtech winfast pvr pci on my computer.
All i have to do is install the tv tuner in the pci slot in my comp and then record the tv show to my hard drive. A tv tuner/capture card costs from 20$ up to 500$. For what you need the 20$ one will suffice.
I pay for satilite, i deserve the right to record it to a cf card on my axim.
Now sharing the eps on another hand..............;)
I downloaded several movies off of one of the sharing networks, and it was encoded in one of the divx versions, and virtualdub alone does everything you need. You don't need to go through itsy bitsy details, doing resize filter, and video compression should give you enough compression to fit full length movie in a CF.
I am still looking for a way to trade my 512 2 weeks old CF with a 1GIG one or a microdrive, i can't afford getting another one now. I already paid all my money on Axim, screen protector and the 512 CF. ;)

I have had a lot of luck with Windows Media Encoder and My AverMedia USB TV card.
I Encode the incoming USB TV video on my desktop and pick it up with my axim wifi card on a http port using windows Media Player. It works pretty well, sends sound and video. With some remote dektop software you might be able to switch channels too, but who knows.
What's the data rate you are viewin the streaming at?

Let's hear it from him, maybe he has some nice config. Usually these stuff are USB 1, but maybe with compression it is possible, even with lower fps.
