Question I lost all my music on my CF Card!

Ok i don't know what i did but one second my music was there the next there was no music on my CF Card, just File1, File 2, File 3, and File 4. And each where like 2 KB. But i had like 20 + Songs on it. For some reason my backup, Adobe Software installed on the card, and other files where left on. I just would like to know why? :crooked:

Is it a sandisk CF card? They have major issues with media.

no it's not a sandisk, its a PNY Technologies. I think its a Toshiba, because my desktop calls it a one. It's weird because i deleted everything on my memory, but it still showed like 100MB in use (thats the space that my Music took up) and i made sure there was nothing in the CF. So with the new Pocket Mechanic i won from the aximsite i reformated my card- deleting ALL of it. So i'm starting over from scratch.

Scamdisk CF cards are supposed to be ok.

It's a corrupt File Allocation Table (FAT). You might have had some success with Scandisk from a card reader, or a card utility on the Axim but if you've formatted it then problem solved :) For now anywya.

Of course you can.

Using wifi just map a drive to your PC and copy everything over.

Using AS just copy it using the cradle.

There are also third party tools that will backup storage cards too, but I just do it via wifi.

Yep, sounds like a good move to me :) I try to backup via AS every week or so and copy everything from my storage card every 2-3 weeks.

Sprite Backup Plus can backup cards, infact your entire system. You can find it here: http://www.spritesoftware.com/produc...ad_backup.html

You don't. You connect through AS and then copy the files to your PC.
