data lost!! Help!

Help.
Is there any way to recover PPC2002 or Outlook 2002 data
once it has been overwritten with Activesync?

It was my fault!!
Yes, whip me with a wet noodle! But I still need help.
My Dell Axim had a memory error which forced a hard-
reboot.
Fortunately, I had backed up my data. Unfortunately, the
last backup was September (and here it is December)!

I restored the data with the 9/03 backup.

No problem, I thought, since I use activesync with
Outlook with my home computer and office computer, surely
I still have the data.

I plug in my Axim PPC2002 with the home computer ... but
it simply overwrites all my Outlook data with the OLD
9/03 backup data!

Ouch.
Now I have not only lost my Axim PPC calendar, but also
my data on the home machine.

No problem, I think to myself. I'll just sync with the
office machine since that, I know, is up to date.

Like a fool, I connect my Axim to the office machine
which AUTOMATICALLY syncs.

Before I get a chance to stop it, all the office data is
changed to the old 9/03 data.

I know (now) I whould have backed up the outlook pst file.
And I whip myself for not having backup up the AXIM files
on a more regular basis.

Is it all gone?

Wow, yeah probably gone. If it's corporate, can you get them to restore it from the server?

It does now.
It didn't then.

But good news, I just found that many of the contacts and calendar items which were lost were dumped into my deleted folder on one of the desktop outlooks.
I can move many of them directly to the calendar and contacts folders. Others I can reconstruct from my notes.

But interestingly, the activesync does not work as quickly as it used to.

Perhaps I upgraded activesync since 9/03.
If so, perhaps I need to re-install activesync 3.7
and I hope I can do it in a way that doesn't trash my existing partnerships.
