Worried How do you get rid of some pre installed programs.

I don't use Microsoft Reader nor MSN Messenger, how do I get them off (uninstall) my Axim completely for other used programs. Afraid I'd mess something up.

Please help,
SSYM

You cannot get rid of them because they are part of the operating system.

Funny that you can have that choice of uninstalling on laptops or tower pc's, with windows programs. I assume there was some way of doing the same with the pocket pc being that it does sync with windows. Are you absolutely sure there isn't any way of getting rid of these programs?

That link was very helpful. Now to ask another question, if it's not possible to delete the programs; what about the annoying icons?

You can use the File Explorer Program, then go to:

Windows\Start Menu or Shortcut and delete the .lnk files (.lnk are shortcuts)

Laptops are quite different than PPCs where laptops have a harddrive and PPCs don't. Hard drives are not read only like ROM on PPCs are. So it is quite possible to remove something on a laptop harddrive if don't want it.
