Programs and DBs on SD Card

Presently, I have a 64MB SD card in my X3i. Eventually, I am going to upgrade to at least a 256MB, if not 512MB. If, when I do get the new card, I copy all the files on the 64MB card to the new one, will all the paths still work? I am assuming that they will, as it will still be listed as Storage Card in my File Explorer. Example: I followed the AvantGo tip of moving that folder from my Windows folder to the Storage Card. As long as I copy that folder to the new card there shouldn't be any problems, right? I'm pretty sure there won't be, but just being sure.

I did this just today. I copied stuff from my 128 MB SD card to a 256 MB CF card, inserted a new 256 MB SD card, copied stuff back, then tested it. The documents showed up where they should be and the programs all ran fine.

Go for it.

Having a card reader/writer makes this easy and fast. Just copy the contents from the old card to the desktop in a folder. Insert your new card and copy the contents from the folder on your desktop to your new card.

Done this several times and works everytime.

I haven't done this, but you could even keep your current card, copy everything to the new card, and since the programs are identical on each you could swap the cards and have access to the storage space on both.

For some reason I couldnt get mine to work via a card reader. Maybe because I tried on an NT Windows 2000 Box? I transfered from SD to CF, took out the 128 Sd inserted new 256 SD and transfered back without a problem.
