This has come up a couple of times, so maybe this tip will help others from the outset. When you set up your wireless network settings it seems to help the connection if you put the IP address of the computer you are syncing your Axim with in the WINS settings. It works for me and you may avoid some frustration.

When I would sync before usually I would active sync interpreted me as a "guest." Only cccassionally would it sync me as a partner. Very furstrating.
