aaaarrrrggggghhhh! Synching problems.

I have an Axim 5 (400mhz) with PPC2002. Hubby has one with PPC2003. We are using Outlook 2002 and AximSync 3.7.1. I'm able to sync up my Pocket Quicken and Avantgo, but nothing in Outlook. It keeps telling me it can't access necessary information and/or can't log onto the network (we don't HAVE a network!). I've installed/reinstalled both Outlook 2002 and ActiveSync (yes, I rebooted in between and didn't have the cradle attached).

Can any of you wonderful wizards sell me a clue as to what I have set incorrectly??? I'm about to go completely gray over this one...

Need more information. Are you both trying to sync with same computer....or are you both having the same problem on different computers. What operating system on the computer or computers?

Have you tried a Hard Reset?

I've had ActiveSync issues that I couldn't get around, but a Hard Reset of the Axim always took care of my issue. It's a last resort if nothing else works, but it's worked for me 3 times in the past. Do a full backup to CompactFlash or Secure Digital using the Dell Backup software, then Hard Reset, confirm you can ActiveSync, and restore from CF or SD.

Hope this helps.

Before hard resetting. One question. You need to have dual partnerships on your PC. This is the first step. Because I bet both you and your "Hubby" ;) sync to the same PC. Is this correct? If so have you ever been able to do a complete sync without an error before or is this something you have been having a problem with all along?

Worried InActiveSync

http://forums.us.dell.com/supportfor...essage.id=2601

The link above outlines the issues that have been posted to the Dell forums regarding this same issue.
I think this is about as official as a reply as we can expect, given the customer service broohaha.
I haven't tried a new powered hub, but will as soon as I can.
