I also had 'challenges' with 3.6 - kept saying connecting, no AvantGo either... wasted a few hours with that puppy. So got rid of it and went back to 3.5 ... sheesh.

If you scroll down on the active sync page, it says:

If you use AvantGo and have installed an upgrade (such as the AvantGo Security Upgrade for Pocket PC devices), installing ActiveSync 3.6 will prevent AvantGo from syncing properly. To fix this problem, please reinstall the latest version of AvantGo.

You need to reinstall Avantgo

Before I tried to install Sync 3.6, there was a note saying that, "...3.6 is already installed..." So I believe my Ax came with 3.6 (had it almost 2.5 weeks). GO WINGS!!!

I got that too, but I know 3.6 was on the axim, but only had 3.5 on the pc. Installed 3.6 to make sure the pc was at the same release level.
