X5 volume
Hi all,

ok Had my X5 now for about three weeks now, mostly very happy with it.

Only one real gripe, is it just me or is the speaker pretty poor? Anyone have any tips for improving its performance in terms of either clarity or volume? On the plus side with headphones its good.

Oh yeah anyone seen the Pcap drivers for PPC or can you just use the PC ones?

Since it seems to be the custom round here:-

Axim X5 performance,
1x128mb SD
1x512mb SD
D-Link DCF-660W 802.11b wireless compact flash
TomTom GPS kit

There is a new Audio Update for X5s, but it's only for WM2003. By all accounts it is well worth updating.

As for the onboard Speaker, there's just not much you can do for a tiny, tinny speaker such as is found on the X5. But, as you noted, the Headphones do wonders for the sound quality! Try using your Axim as an MP3 player played through your Car Stereo, or even your Home Stereo.

The Axim is an MP3 Player that does much, much more than any Dedicated MP3 Player. You will be pleasantly surprised, I assure you!

No comment on the "Pcap Drivers" you mention...........mainly because I have no idea what you're talking about!!

ps; We have many customs around these parts, you are free to agree/disagree with them as you choose!!
