I really like Switcher... the only thing it's missing is a shut-off. I like the way it allows me to keep an ap open or close it as I wish, plus it provides instant access to battery, light and sound controls (which I use all the time). If Wis Bar is better... bring it on! I'd love to see it!

Well, I found a copy of WisBar on the net but I can't find two things: 1) the device shut-off button and 2) The backlight adjuster.

Could be I have an older verison. So far, I like Switcher better.

does ending a program via the switcher bar really shut down the program?

If you tell SWITCHER to EXIT THE CURRENT PROGRAM... yes, it shuts it down completely.

One thing I've always loved about the switcher bar is if you hit X to close a program and then realize that it's only minimumized, going to Close the Current Program from the Today Screen will close the last program you used. Nice little feature.

Yeah, I had some problems with Magic Button, too. It seems like a great little app (free, too!!), but I think it was conflicting with some of my other apps..it left lots of ghost images around, and shortly after i installed it, I had lots of problems with my Active Sync (Active Sync on my pc would all of a sudden leave off the Tasks or Inbox check box, not letting me sync them..). Not sure if this was Magic Button's doing, but after two hard re-sets (YUCK!!!!):rolling: , I re-installed everything except M. Button and no more problems (by the way, I learned to love the switcher program...it really is pretty handy and I beleive it really doesn't use up too many resources).

Icbar works great for me. I don't like the default skin, so I normally just start it up when I want to close out of some programs.
