Make switcher bar start every time
You can make switcher bar or any other program you chose start on startup by simply creating a shortcut in the \Windows\StartUp folder of your Axim.
Every time you reset it should be there all happy to see you. If you don't use switcher bar give it a whirl you'll be glad you tried it.

And for those newbies out there... if all of a sudden your Axim is running awful slow just use the the switch bar to see whats running. Remember all those programs you start and think you closed may be running in the background sucking up resources.

The switcher bar on my Ax comes up each time I power up, and is not in the startup folder. Click START, SETTINGS, SYSTEM and tap the Switcher Bar icon. The only time I have to restore it is after a soft reset.
:D

Use File Explorer and go to Windows, Shortcut, System. Tap and hold on the Switcher Bar program and select Copy.
Go to Windows, Startup and tap and hold an open area of the page. Select Paste shortcut and it's done.
Now when you soft reset, it will auto start.

Since putting switcher in startup folder, I noticed I am pressing the reset button an awful lot. Did any one noticed that? It always happens when I dock and activesync startsup.PocketPC freezes.

I added the switcher bar to my startup a while back and it was working good for a while, but I have noticed some occasional graphic distortions recently with the switcher and brigtness portions of the bar. The battery is always visable and all of the tools still work if I click on where they should be.
Weird, it probably has nothing to do with adding it to the startup, but I though I would throw it out there. A soft reset fixes the problem at least temporarily.

Sometimes other third-party programs will interfere with Switcher. Any menu-type program, any "true exit" program such as "Magic Button" may conflict because it and Switcher are both trying to do something when you exit the program. I had to remove Magic Button... Switcher is much more useful.

Yes, third-party apps - "true exit" programs and the switcher bar don't mix. I liked the switcher bar, but I LOVE Wis Bar. So I used this little trick to get Wis Bar to start up whenever I do a soft reset. If you want more control of your open applications, you really need to try Wis Bar. Best of all, it's free!
