Tried and Blue
I have been tried and true but now I am tired and blue...
I have tried to extract files to the directory. I went through and took out all other versions of divx from 2002 and I still get the error message "failed to copy file" What is up with that?
I have re-downnloaded the exec. several times, re-started the computer,
Is there a solution?
Thanks!
Keith

Hmm... you could try to do a backup and see if a hard reset will let you install it... the old pocketdivx stuff might be interfering... you might want to check out the mayo pocketdivx forums for help.

The cab file must be copied to the Axim.

Cab File
There is a folder that is titled PocketMVP.cab. It has a series of 30 some files in it like pocket~1.04 etc. I do not see a exe file that would be the program file or a file that is .cab file.
Any suggestions would be great.
Thanks
Keith

Step by Step
OK OK I found out part of the problem. I had NETZIP on my PC system as opposed to WINZip.
I loaded Winzip and the file showed up as a cab file.
I dragged and dropped it over the axim and then clicked on it. It was installed very nicely. It did give me an exe. file that is titled POCKET MUSIC and VIDEO PLAYER.
I clicked on exec icon and got the error message 'PocketMVP" is not a vaalid Pcoket PC Application.
ANY SUGGESTIONS?
Thanks
Keith

You downloaded the wrong version...
that version is the casio BE version.
The site is back up so follow the link at the beginning of this thread to get the real version...
Make sure you uninstall the current one first...
Use the setup if you don't know which file... The one for the axims is the arm file.
Also try not to yell... ^_^ (all uppercase stuff)

Well I finally got it right! Thanks to all of your great help.
Here was the answer to my problems along the way:
1. Down the load the correct version. Link provided at the begining of this thread is the correct version.
2. Make sure you have winzip on your PC not netzip.
3. Just open with winzip and install
4. It really is that simple.
I am going to have to work on the encoding process. I think that the mpeg 1 I did and played back using pocket TV was looking better. I will keep you posted on the results.
Thanks again to all of you and your help!
Keith

??
I finished the movie and tried to play it on the Axim. I opened MVP, found my file and tried to open it. I got a black screen (like the movie was going to start). Then I got booted out to the Today screen without the top bar on the screen (the one with the start button and all that good stuff). Anyone got any ideas? I am thinking perhaps I should just scrap everything and start all over.
