converting mov files?

Does anyone know of a converter for Mov files? I am trying to covert a mov file to either mpg or wmv to play on my axim. Windows Media Encoder 9 does not support that media type, so it is of no hlep to me.

hmm...

I believe there was a .mov-reading plugin for VirtualDub

jpmarth: I hope you're not placing all of my suggestions on your ignore list, only the 100% correct but absolutely useless ones.

windows media encoder?

I honestly don't know how you can withstand the terrible quality/size ratios on that thing. It really is pretty bad: a 56mb 1hr30min movie looked like absolute crap in wm using Movie Maker, but a 78mb DivX/mp3 looked great and sounded more than decent. As a matter of fact, I've started writing a guide on the topic of movie conversion. It's still in its early stages, but it's coming along quite nicely.
