how can i boost audio level beyond factory settings?

Hi,

I just switched from pocketmvp to betaplayer - what a difference! except in pocketmvp there is an equalizer which i can use to boost the audio level on videos that have a generally low audio output level. betaplayer doesnt have this, as far as I know.

Is there a prog which will generally just boost the audio output of the internal amplifier? I hope its freeware.

Also, is there something like betaplayer that can play my MPG movies? I have a lot of MPG movies from the sony V1 cam that I want to put on there without doing crazy resizing and reformatting stuff.

The axim is limited so the movies you can play is also limited. Dont expect it to be able to play a high resolution movie without it looking like a slide show.

Um boost audio..
The closest thing I can think of that can increase the volume is possibly the preamp slider next to the equalizer in winampaq and gsplayer. I dont know if it makes any difference though because I usually get distortion.
