Has anyone dropped their AXIM by accident?????
I am waiting on my AXIM to arrive, and I was just wondering if anyone has dropped their AXIM by accident. What happened? Is it pretty sturdy?
The reason I am asking is because I own a Palm and I have dropped it quite a few times (about 20 times), and thank God nothing has ever happened to it.
Thanks for your input.

I'm thinking that if you drop an Axim, you are buying a new one. No way this thing survives a drop onto a hard surface.

I was doing some work on a 6 ft ladder. I was about 4 feet off the ground. My Axim, in it's EB case, slipped off my belt and took a header to the concrete below. Landed on the lower edge of the unit. I became a little light headed at that point.
No damage, no problem....yet.

Dopped it and It Survivied !
Yes I dropped mine running to the phone. It fell about 2-feet onto my vinyle kitchen floor. I almost had a heart attack but when I picked it up and looked it over not a mark was on it ! It also fell screen down and I was just sure it was damaged. I feel lucky nothing happened but It also appears they can take some impact with little or no damage at all!

Am Sorry,I aint gonna drop mine - I don't want - not even a scratch. My first pda(cassiopedia) lasted me one month,
my second (palm IIIc* my favourite) lasted me one year,
and this my Axim must last me much longer than the previous two.
life is really hard without a pda

After reading this thread and as an experiment I dropped mine onto my kitchen floor to see how it would do...nah, just kidding. Seriously, I dropped mine from about 4 feet while it was in its Dell leather case and it was fine.

I dropped mine from about 5feet high, right onto a tile floor and aside from giving me a heart attack, it was fine :)
I did have to reset it though, the battery freaked out and thought it was almost dead. It's been fine ever since.

I'd assume the worst case would be for it to fall (without case) and hit on a corner where the impact could break the screen. So far I havne't dropped mine yet (knock on wood). Once I receive my sena case I'll feel a bit safer though!

No and I hope I don't. I did drop my Palm vx though, that's why I own an Ax now. The Palm was in a hardcase. It had knocked around the car a couple of times with no problems. I think it is just that right hit that will wax any unit.

I almost dropped mine, fortunately I caught it half way with my hand. It was just above waist-length on the subway.
lol, I just that that it was funny to see this in the 'Tips and Tricks' section, as if accidentally dropping your Axim was a tip to make it faster/better! hehe.. ;)
