View your axim wirelessly from pc

I don't know if everyone might already know this, but you know that Mobile Device icon in 'My Computer' that lets you access your axim when it's connected via usb? I was dissapointed that I couldn't use that after I decided to do away with the usb and just sync and stuff wirelessly. Well you can still use it wirelessly. Just go into activesync on your ppc and in the advanced options, have it stay connected after syncing. Then, when you hit sync, you'll be able to access that until you hit stop and/or disconnect.

Yes that's a nice feature . . .

Now if you really want to view you axim wirelessly (I mean total remote control of the Axim), then download and use ActiveSync Remote Display - Display Pocket PC applications on your desktop or laptop without needing any device side configuration. (And no, this app does not require any input from the Axim to initiate).

...If you happened to leave the wireless on and the power hadn't shut off yet.

I might be wrong, but I believe you are pointing to a different version. Your link loads the version that requires implementation on the Axim.

The version I linked to, executes the remote access without any requirement on the Axim.

You are correct. This is the first program I istalled after receiving my X30. The only problem that I have encountered is slow reponse between the axim and deskstop????

On the desktop using remote display how big is the picture? Is it just a copy of the Axim screen? If so I will stick with DotPocket, since it also does remote control of Axim.

The picture on the desktop not the size of the size of the AXIM display, but about the same size as the actual AXIM.

I think we want to know the size in pixels.. The actual size depends on your resolution and the size of your monitor.
Is the picture distorted at all? If not, it must be the same size or possibly double size I guess. Is the display size resizable?

There is no distortion when view at the default size, which is very clear. You also have the option to zoom in under the file setting, however when zooming the picture does get distorted
