IR ActiveSync

I've been synching fine with my USB cradle. However, I've only got one USB port, I'm too cheap to buy a USB hub. I do have an IR port. How do I setup to do an ActiveSynch via IR?

I am running with an old Toshiba Satalite laptop (4020CDT) with first edition of Win98. I upgraded to ActiveSync 3.6. The laptop IR port works with my IR interfece of my printer. I ran the Connections wizard on ActiveSync, it detects the IR port is present, the Laptop indicates a connection with the Axim, but ActiveSync does not recognize the Axim.

Hmmm... I know if this were Win95 I would need a new IR driver, but supposedly I don't need one for Win98 (so says the Microsoft self help).

I can help ! I have sucessfully setup my IR to sync. The trick is you need to go into activesync from the pocketpc. Next, go to tools...connect via IR port. Make sure on your PC to have activesync setup able to connect by IR. IF this doesn't help, e-mail me or something. I have it working and can help people.:D
