Tasks disabled in ActiveSync

I cannot sync tasks. When I establish the partnership, Active Sync gives me the option of checking tasks which I do. However, it does not show up when the actual sync is done. When I check options, it does not have a check box next to it. Sometimes it shows as Disabled.

Any suggestions?

Thanks.

Lauren

I have the same problem. It happened after I restored a full backup to the X5. Any ideas anyone? I did try deleting the partnership and renaming the Axim PC Partnership

Same thing with me

I attempted to fix it for two days, but found nothing and could not do anything to fix it. I had a friend with a HP PDA try to help me but aslo came up with nothing. I did a hard restart and started from scratch. I just made sure I saved everything from the Axim that I needed and then did a sync on both my computers. It will require new partnerships, but it works fine now. I'm not much help but it will cut down on the aggreviation you are going through.

Thanks for the reply... Thats what I ended up doing. So much for using the backup and restore feature!

Thanks for the thread- ran into the exact same problem. Like you guys said, it appears to happen for me after performing a full backup, then a hard reset, then a restore. Gonna bug Dell and MS with this via e-mails, who knows...

I'm having the same problem!! Sure would like some resolution. I've restored a couple of times trying to get this sorted out and it's no use.

The only way I was able to solve it was to rebuild my Axim. Kind of a pain, I guess, but I like messing around with it and rebuild every so often anyway, so not that big a deal for me. There's a (shorter) thread going on about this on Dell's site:

http://forums.us.dell.com/supportfor...message.id=750

and there I outline a brief description of the steps I took to resolve it. Modify the steps as required. If anyone has any questions, or better solutions, or news from Dell, post it.

I sent Dell support an email describing the problem. Their only suggestion thus far is to reinstall ActiveSych. Apparently they are not yet clued into this problem
