Warning about switching between batteries
Hey fellas if youre like me and have 2 batteries and swap them out please heed this warning. This has happened to me twice so far and I dont think I will do it again if I can avoid it.

When swapping batteries first check the power button and make sure its not flashing.

When you have a appoinement or task due sometimes the Axim will be off and the power light will be flashing green, if you swap the battery the main battery at this time, even though the Axim is off you will wipe your RAM out.

The first time I did this I didn't realise what happened but this last time I know for sure that the light was flashing and I tried to switch it anyway and POW, hard reset, good thing I had a real recent backup, just a precaution and something to be wary of!

good luck!

That must be what happened to me about 3 weeks ago! Definitely a bummer.....

Oh well - good thing I backup everyday to an SD card. 90 seconds a day, saved my hide!

yep, backing up regularly is a definite must do.

apart from that, another thing y'all might consider doing is hooking the unit up to dc power before switching batteries out. that way, nothing gets touched. you don't even have to rely on the backup battery. =)

however, halfway through writing this, i realised that most people switch batteries when they're far, far away from the nearest compatible dc power source.

oh well. =p
