I have the same problem with the "Messages cannot be downloaded to mobile device" message. I confirmed that even though I did not use separate settings for outgoing, I can send myself an email from my X30H. I just for some reason can't download messages. I don't have any hack software installed that would disable SSL. Any suggestions?

Thanks for this tutorial. As the MS site was pretty useless on configuring SSL ports I came straight here, and wasn't disappointed!

I think I'll keep this stickied for awhile longer though. Some people would rather use POP3

Yea i think that GMAIL using Pocket IE thread is gonna be a future sticky in the 'view new posts' section even if it doesnt get the tag.
To me its still easier to use POP to read mail but to send using contacts and that sort that you have stored in GMAIL is seems easier to use Gmail.com

I've quintuple checked my settings, and I still get the "can't download" messages. Lately, without changing settings, sending through Gmail also broke. Anyone have any new ideas on this one?

Did you see the post earlier on setting in Gmail settings from a pc to pop from now on. That fixed it for me. It stoped working until I did this.
