Two Outlook/Activesync Tips

(a) Get rid of that annoying windows that pops up asking if you want to allow (XXXX) to access your Outlook address book, etc. I don't think it affects everyone and I'm not sure what versions of Windows/Outlook are affected, but there is a small utility called Express ClickYes that simply answers yes to this for you.

You can get it at: http://www.contextmagic.com/express-clickyes/

(b) Sometimes you just want to close Outlook and actually have it go away! Often, in fact almost always with Activesync running, Outlook never really closes. Then you get into the state where Outlook won't close for some reason and just sits there with it's littl eicon next to your clock.

Try knockOut from http://sunflowerhead.com/software/knockout/ as this lets you know when Outlook and/or Word are running in the background and lets you actually close them, freeing up system resources.

Hope that these are useful,
