Retrieving application data from the mobile device...

Can some people post how long
your PC sits at this screen? ..
Mine sits here for exactly 1. minute...
This may not seem long, but when I have
5 programs I want to install.. it adds up
pretty fast...

I just think something must be up with it, for it
to take that long.... any comparison times?

Okay, I timed it this time. Using the USB cradle, it sat here for 29 seconds. Via my Wi-Fi card, it sat there for only 2 seconds!!

p.s. This was with nothing running on Axim besides ActiveSync and Icbar. Axim is 400MHz model with around 30 apps installed.

Ok well first off I have 113 apps installed..
(not including runable apps that have no setup)

lol.. this could be one problem.. But I tried
it over my wireless and it only took 5 seconds!!
woowoo...

My wireless network is hardly ever on...
so it may be a hassel to connect it every time
I want to sync.....

The reason its hardly ever on is because i have
a x10 wireless cam that hates my wireless network..

So anytime I want to use my wireless network I have
to disconnect my cam...

silentknight,

Just curious as to what the problem is with the x10 cam and network? Is that the only x10 device you have? If you have others, do they interfere with network as well? Just curious, as I plan to add some x10 devices for my home theater in the future.

They both operate at 2.4 GHz..

the x10 cam has a channels A B C & D

I set the channels on opposite ends..
(Wireless network- 11, Cams A)
(Wireless network - 1, Cams D)

And I still get no range from my wireless network
it works sometimes.. at my desk... but not if I leave
the room...

Only way one will work, is if the other is off...

I have not done any extensive tests... I will
try some more this weekend...

Also I notice, that my 2.4 GH phone will mess up
my X10 Cam, but not my wireless network (?)
(Although the phone will work fine when the cam is on)

My phone only messes up when the Microwave is on..
but the microwave does not mess up the wireless network
or x10 cams....

(man this is getting confusing, maybe I should draw
a chart..)

Heh,

Yeah, My girlfriend's house is that way with the 2.4GHz phone and wireless network. Guess it's just luck of the draw if devices/appliances won't interfere with each other.
