I found i nice link with some registry tweaks. Watch out when using them. If there is going something wrong, a possible hardreset is needed. This is for advanced users only.

Note: Registry tweaks/hacks are not supported by any of the software/hardware manufacturers. Use on own risk and don't forget to backup first!

Always a good idea to backup your PPC before messing with the registry. Just in case....

Of course, regular backups are a must anyway.
