WiFi while in the cradle?

Anyone know if it's possible to use a WiFi card in the Axim while it's in the cradle? I know the cradle normally activates the USB connection, which is fine and all, but I'd like to keep the WiFi connection. Reason: the cradle provides constant power (yes, I know I could just as easily unplug it and plug the power cable directly into the Axim but that's not the point... :) )

I think Pocket PC has an order to connectivity.

If the unit sees USB plugged in, it will use that connection first. I have tried it with WiFi in the cradle and it uses USB as its primary connection.

I have not found a way to change it unless you want to unplug the USB from the PC.

If you are just browsing the internet right next to your computer on your axim ;) then it automatically goes through activesync and you dont have to use your WIFI

The USB seems to be either slow or lagged. When using PocketIRC via WiFi it connects to a server very quickly, but USB seems to hang at the ident request and never replies through it for some reason.

When you first put it in the cradle it brings up a box that you can use to cancel the USB connection. You must be very quick to use it. Do not blink.

Just unplug the USB cable from your computer and leave the Power plugged into the Cradle.

Then you can sync via wifi with you laptop or connect directly to the internet.

I assume that is what you want to do.
