Annoyances with BT Keyboard/Mouse
Greetings,
I recently acquired an EPoX BT Keyboard and a TO Stowaway BT Mouse.
As the BT Mouse works relatively well on my X30, I am not railing against it in that realm. Rather, I have a question/concern regarding simultaneous BT Keyboard/Mouse usage on a regular (Windows XP) desktop computer.
My (relevant) computer configuration as of now:
802.11b/g USB Adapter (on b mode, 11Mbps I believe)
Trendware BT USB Adapter (BT version 1.1)
Either the mouse or keyboard works pretty well when connected separately, but when connected at the same time, performance is not the best. I was doing some brief hopping on the internet, and it looks like that (version 1.1 at least?) BT can't handle multiple connections very well. My usage seems to prove this point because I get frequent keystroke repeats on my keyboard for a few seconds after immediately using my mouse
(ex. bllllllllahhhhhhhh), as well as a few seconds lag on my mouse after immediately using my keyboard.
My question is whether or not this problem can be solved via drivers/firmware/other software. I also look towards other people's experience when using (or trying to) multiple BT devices (and which BT version is used as well). I really don't want to upgrade hardware (unless I can solve my problem by getting a BT 1.2 USB adapter, presuming my devices support it) as BT is already sort of expensive -_- If all else fails, it looks like I will still used a wired mouse, and BT keyboard, since my BT mouse is for PPC as well :)
Thank you in advance for any input.
