I use Fairuse to rip my dvds. a USB2 card reader to copy them to my SD card. And TCPMP to play them.

Repeat: FairUse (In case u didn't hear the first 10 times)
BTW, does it take anyone else a wicked long time to do a dvd? Took me like 3 or 4 times the movie length I think (although I was reading an ISO not a DVD which I'd think would be faster but I was writing to the same drive.)
How are you using the videos on the Axim? I had to download the XVid codec for my desktops. Will I need a special codec for WM10 for PPC? What viewers (free) are you using to view on the Axim?
using fairuse on a P4 2.8Ghz with 1Gb ram and 2xRaptor36G sata hdd's it takes about %70 of a DVD to re-encode, ie if the movie is 2hrs it takes about 1.5hrs to complete. at default settings, but I reduce it down a bit for the ax.
use tcpmp (beta player/core player) or what ever it's called now :-) top app that.

Hmm.. P4, 2.4GHz and as I said, it seemed to take at least twice the movie length.. Maybe I'm just hallucinating though.. I'll try again soon.
BTW, I also use betaplayer for everything (MP3s & Movies.) No additional codecs needed and it's a great program overall.

If you use the FairUse method, you will end up with a .avi file. This file will play on the Axim using TCPMP or The Core Pocket Media Player, Pre know as BetaPlayer. Again, Links are in my sig. Good Luck~
