TIP: Floating SIP

The following registry tweak allows you to create a floating input panel, thus allowing the SIP to be moved anywhere on the screen

INSTRUCTIONS
  1. With your Registry Editor, navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Sip
  2. Locate the DragStyle Value. If it does not exist, create a new DWord value.
  3. To make the SIP moveable, change the Value Data to 1. To lock the SIP to the Command Bar (bottom) change the Value Data to 0.
  4. Soft-reset.
WARNINGS
This tweak requires you to edit your registry, which done incorrectly can have BAD results. This tweak should not cause any harm to your device or data, but if it does it is YOUR OWN FAULT! To be safe, backup your device before attempting.

Also note, that on my X5 Advanced (WM2k3) there were some display problems with the input panel. When changing between input methods the bottom of the input panel would become truncated, which is a problem when using the keyboard, but not so bad when using the letter recognizer (my default input method).
