Which would you choose

My work is going to buy me a umpc for automotive related software. I really like the design of the Shift but like everyone else I am worried about the resolution, although the unit I use now only has 800X600. I am not worried about battery life because 2hrs will be plenty and someone will come out with an extended battery.

My other choice would be the Samsung Q1U which has the better resolution but I don't think I will like the keyboard as much. Is the resolution on the Shift Really going to look that bad? Most of the others have too small of a screen and or no keyboard.

I would like to here what you have to say.

uhhhhhhm....are they hiring?

I'd go with the Shift. It is world class awesome. Another hot tamale is the fujitsu. The Samsung seems to be the most popular, and you can get a keyboard organizer for it, which makes it more usable.

Shift, baby. Shift.

I think that is the way I feel. I really don't think the resolution is going to be a big deal. I guess no one will feel sorry for me having to make this decision huh.

I've recently got WIBRAIN b1h. Love it. It is very small - will feet in big pocket. Screen is very impressive, resolution is 1024 x 600.
Could be a problem for some people - everything is so small on the screen. But you can adjust it a little bit.
The performance is reasonable. I am using it in my chear sitting in front of TV, writing programs for pocket PC. I use visual studio 2005 and SQL server. Everything is running pretty fast.
Nice little device. My new baby!

If you get the shift, you have the power of Windows Vista, while also having the battery saving of Windows Mobile.
