Recently purchased OQO Model 2
I got an OQO Model 2 recently - with Vista Business and MS Office. Wanted to get something to take on the road with me so I could leave the heavy laptop behind. Haven't decided yet whether I like it or not. Definitely is easy to carry, but seeing the screen is a challenge (I'm over 50!) though the colors are bright and the text is sharp. I've played around with changing the screen resolution some to make it easier to read; while that helps, not sure that will work with all programs.
It has wireless built in, so connnecting to networks is easy, also has a USB port, so I've gotten a USB DVD writer to connect to it and can install other programs or transfer files when network/download option not available. There is also a version that has broadband connection (via Sprint), but I didn't get that.
All in all, I like it, but time will tell how much I can actually use it.
Any one else here with one? How has it worked for you, what do you use it for, what limitations have you had?
