PIM update from desktop

Hi

are there any good apps that allow updating from my desktop and can then active sync to my x50v. The task function in Outlook is not sophisticated enough for what I need as I need to be able to create categories for all the different projects I work on. I dont want to have to only update by stylus!

Help

Cheers

There are some apps, but can you be more specific in what you want to do. There is a ton of software out there for virtually everything you can think of. We'll help you find what you need. Welcome to the site. Go to the Introduction forum and introduce yourself.

thanks for the reply. Intro complete.

No problems with things like calendars and syncing email etc but I find the task features bundled in the Today apps to be a bit limiting.

What I would like would be the following.
The ability to create task categories with the titles of the projects I am working on at the moment. Then list in these categories all the actions associated with that project.

Ideally I would like to be able to input this from desktop but obviously edit and update from my Axim.

Kind of like this

September Project
> Paint floor
> Order Fittings
> etc

I would like if any timed tasks are highlighted on the today screen but obviously the bulk of actions would be reviewed on a Category basis.

I have had a play about with the Fusion Agenda, Pocket informant demos but there is no desk top input from Outlook that suffices. I don't really want to go down the non integrated route of List Pro or a project manager as part of the plan was that the Today screen would keep me straight.

Any ideas greatly received.

There are a few things you can try. Pocket Informant, Agenda Fusion, which are PIMs. The best thing for you is probably superlist, listpro or check out other list type programs.

Just google them, check out handango, pocket gear or downloads.com.

Outlook will let you create multiple folders under your tasks, just "Create New folder" which contains "tasks items" under your tasks. So you could have a tasks folder named 'September projects' and then create tasks in that folder. To sync the additional tasks folders you would need an additional sync application like Pocket Mirror
