Adjust screen brightness via hardware button
I'm looking for an app that will allow me to adjust the screen brightness via a hardware button while my X30 is attached to a charger. SPB Pocket Plus 3 allows me to do this while on battery power only. I need this so I can turn down the screen brightness while driving using TomTom 5 with my pda is chrged with the in car mount. I cant safely goto the the setting screen once i'm on the road, but as it gets dark out it's handy to reduce glare on my windshield. Mapping this to a hardware button only while TT5 is active whould be ideal, but not required. thanks in advance.

On the X5 you would click the jog dial and push up and down on the dpad to adjust the brightness...
On the X50v... So far all I see is left+record to turn off the backlight or hold power to turn on/off. On the X3/x30 I dont know.. | |||||

The X30 is the same as the X5 (depress the jog wheel and press up or down). Unfortunatly, I'm looking for something I can do while driving. Using this method requires two hands and is VERY awkward while the PDA is docked. If i undock it, it's running from battery power, and once I dock it again the brightness returns to the privous docked level.

If you have switcher bar running, you can change the brightness with just 3-4 quick screen taps. I know this is not the solution you were looking for, but it might me your best alternative.
