I am replacing my defective X50 with another one (hopefully is coming soon). I am wondering if anybody has tried to restore the backup of 1 Axim to another Axim using Sprite backup?

If it's the same on the new one, just restore. If it isn't, I recommend reinstalling your programs one at a time. I know, pain in the rear, but it's the best way to make sure you don't have any registry issues. Some have been able to restore across ROM versions, but it's a crap shoot. It may work...It may not.

Agreed, but that's where Sprite backup comes to play. Sprite does backup/restore across ROM versions very well. The restore process has built-in capability to not to restore the system files.
In addition, I read, you can even restore across different devices running same OS of cource (e.g. 2003SE). And that is why I asked if anyboy has sucessfully done that?
