Sprite Restore with No PC????

I need to use my X50v for months at a time with no access to a PC. I have Sprite and regularly backup but I really don't seem to understand the restore process if you have no PC. My X50 battery went dead last night and I lost everything and I can't figure out how to restore it. I installed Sprite in the BIS so I can fire it up again, but the restore fails everytime.

This really is not a problem right now because I have access to a PC for the next week, but after that I am facing at least a year marooned again and really need to know that Sprite will work for me in the future. Am I asking for something that it does not support here? Can someone explain the process of backing up programs using Sprite (without PC involvement) and restoring (without PC involvement). I thought I understood but I have proven myself wrong.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Royce

Configure Sprite to create self-restoring backup files. Make sure you are in Advanced Mode, then tap Options - Backup Options - General Backup Options. Check "Create self-restoring backup files" then tap OK. Next time you need to restore, locate the file, tap on it and it will restore without having to reinstall Sprite.

Moved to Utilities.

Save your backup as executable files. This way you will not have to reinstall Sprite to restore files. Also id you are trying to restore a backup from a previous ROM version it will not work. To save a backup as an EXE file start Sprite, go to Options > Backup Options > General Backup Options > select Create self-restoring Backup Files.

Yep, the above replies are on the money. When you need to restore, do a hard reset, then from the default file manager, find the backup exe file and run it.
It will restore and soft reset the device. Then your back up and good as gold.
