Suggestions for SPB Diary replacement?

I've had to uninstall SPB Diary since it doesn't seem to play nice with my fancy new hacked JapPack (which gives a japanese IME to allow us to enter japanese characters), and I can't give up my JapPack. But, this is really hurting since I love SPB Diary and I need some kind of PIM upgrade over the default stuff in W2003SE.

Can anyone give some suggestions on other good similar products, ASIDE from Pocket Informant or Agenda Fusion please? I know those are the standard answers but I have tried both and don't like them. (I find them over-complex and ugly.)

Have you tried PocketBreeze, it is another today screen plugin which most users swear by. No idea if it will play nice with JapPack but it is worth a shot, there is a free trial available and I believe AximSite members get a discount on it. I wouldn't own a PPC that didn't have PocketBreeze.

Thank you and yes I tried it, the trial version anyway, and it also doesn't play nice with JapPack. I sort of expected it because someone else on Brighthand (I think) reported this incompatibility also. Sigh.

I've been digging for alternatives and seemingly the most promising one is Dashboard perhaps, and it's not too expensive but it doesn't seem to have Diary's functionality...no contacts or notes, just calendar/tasks.

Another possibility is PIToday. It hasn't been updated in some time, but it used to be another player in the arena with Pocket Breeze.

There is a brand new version now, 1.7. The revision history mentions some localization related fixes since version 1.5.1. I doubt they will help but it may be worth a try.
