Pocket Hack Master....

I just began using Pocket Hack Master with my x50v and I only started testgin CPU speeds when it froze and I soft reset it. It turned out that I had to take out the battery and thus it became a hard reset. This has happened twice: once when I tried 728 Mhz and a second when I tried 680 Mhz. Is this happeningto anyone else? If so, does anyone know how to solve the problem?

The 1ghz setting turned my Axim into a brand spanking factory one. (hard reset for those who havn't caught on)
Other than that it's worked fine

Do you have your Axim set on Normal or what under the Power option in the Settings folder?

What do you suggest for better performance? Should I look for higher CPU, Bus, or RAM speed?

I am getting the hang of it now. When the benchmark sign doesn't come up, I have to hard-reset, but hit cancel instead of clear. Then I go back to my Today Screen. It is a process of trial and error that I am willing to go through at the moment. Will let you know the results if you like...

from what i've heard xcpuscalar seems to do a much better job than pocket hack master at ocing your cpu. i haven't tried either, just letting you know what i've been told by others more ambitious than myself.

I have tried XCPUScalar. I have tried it and it only gives you the generic 728 Mhz with a 208 Bus and 104 RAM as the max. I admit it does look easier to overclock or (underclock) with XCPUScalar, Pocket Hack Master gives you MANY MANY MANY more options. And it was easier to find a serial number...;-) I may end up buying it if I actually like the way it works and so far so good...

I prefer XCPU because I find it is more stable than hack master.

Careful young padawan. Such things lead to the darkside of the force.

(Edit: oh wait, judging from your moniker, you're already there. )

lol...XCPU is more stable. I find that Pocket Hack Master has given me better performance because I can change the Bus and RAM speeds. I guess it depends on preference.

XCPUScalar is the "overclocking for dummies" tool. PHM is much more powerful.

My best result so far with PHM is as follows: CPU=683, bus=273, mem=137, LCD=68; that gives me 453/251/656 SI/MIPS/MemSpeed.

Can anybody beat that?

All overclocking programs are unstable and dangerous for your pocket PC
What kinda battery life do you get using it long term
I think AMD is starting work on microprocessors
Think of it a 64 bit Pocket PC running at 1ghz

Do a "fake" hard reset. When it asks you, press the Messaging button.
