Is there a program that will automatically turnoff sounds when ur busy

Is there a program that will turnoff sounds when ur busy(as in busy with an appointment in pocket outlook) and turn notifications on when u are free. While im in class I dont want it to go off, but the time inbetween i would like to get my notifications. If i could remember to turn the sound on...haha why would i need to spend 400 dollars on something to remind me of everything else.

Yes, it's called Windows Mobile (or Pocket PC if you have an older device). Tap the speaker icon on the top toolbar. There's a check option to mute or turn it off or just move the slider down (in other words, it only takes two taps to change it). I don't know anything that will do it automatically.

What an unhelpful answer by a veteran poster. This is one feature I miss from my Palm days: in Agendus Pro, you could choose to turn off notifications while your calendar said you were busy. It was a great feature. I don't think there's anything like this on the PPC.

...and how was your answer any more helpful? I told him how to do it and that there was no software alternative.

Actually that is not the only software alternative. PockteZenPhone has profiles that you can set manually, set by outlook appts or set by time. You can also have it in the system tray or as a today plugin.

I really like the look of this program! Will this program still run on WM2003? I went to their website (http://zendrui.free.fr/) and read the following paragraph.

"PocketZenPhone is a phone profile switcher/manager for PocketPC Phone Edition devices. (ARM/Xscale WM2003/WM2003SE/WM5 Portrait/Landscape/Square/VGA display)"

Does this mean that it can be installed on WM2003 (non phone edition)?
