sprite backup not enough memory

hey guys,

i got sprite backup & it worked fine the 1st backup. scheduled the daily backup but everytime it says not enough memory; i tried manual & same thing. it's saving on the BIS with nothing else there. at first i had saved 3 backups, then 2, then 1 to give it more memory; each time i did that it still wouldn't have enough memory (it would tell me it needed more space everytime i did that).

is it normal to require 32511 kb required? (that's what it's at now). please help. i don't think i have that much on there- i don't even have an SD card yet...

thanks. bill

That sounds pretty high. Are you also backing up your memory card(s)? I'm using approximately 44 MB between Program and Storage memory and my Sprite backup is 18.6 MB.

Yes, good point, I don't include the persistent storages when I back up my Axim. You can exclude the persistent storages in the Options.
Best Regards,

Are you trying to use Sprite with WM 5. I have seen a few postings on this site that says Sprite and WM 5 are not compatible yet. Sprite is working on an updated version to work with WM 5.

Just a thought.

In addition to not backing up persistent memory, also make sure Compress Backup is checked.

still not working

hey guys, thanks for the thoughts.

Yes my persistent memory is excluded & yes the compressed files is checked. And No I'm not running WM5.

just tried it again & now it wants 32453 KB memory. i read that vbar has problems with it sometimes so i removed it but it still won't work.

any other ideas? maybe i should remove; re-install?

thanks. bill

Have you tried posting the problem on Sprite's Forums?
