Your link is to a product called PocketWiNc, not HitchHiker.
HitchHiker is here: http://www.pocketpcfreeware.com/en/index.php?soft=1347

If you want a sniffer that works with the X50, have a look at WiFiGraph and WiFiFoFum. Both work well.
Please note that the NDIS drivers running under the PocketPC OS do NOT let the WiFi interface go into promiscuous mode which is needed to do non-invasive sniffing (eavesdropping).

Can you explain this last sentence a bit more. Is that why you get a connection error from WiFiFoFum. or am i missing something here.

These apps are not sniffer apps, they are just apps for finding APs.

A sniffer app is something like vxSniffer that does a packet trace.

The current context (in this thread) is just an incorrect use of the term "sniffer".

BigBop> I'm not sure that's correct. There are Pocket PC sniffers on the market such as vxSniffer. Is this a new OS change?
Always read stuff that will make you look good if you die in the middle of it.

I'm not sure it's better but I have Socket Wi-Fi Companion 2005. It's pretty simple and works with WM-2005.

Oh yeah... it's not free.

I would have to say Wi-Fi Companion 2005 is better, since it has ping, traceroute, and IP tools. It will also tell between B and G hotspots and the number of Access Points each network has within range - VERY IMPRESSIVE
