Soft Reset Software

Is anyone aware of a program that enables a soft reset botton? I don't like to use the switch on the back of my x51v. I use Launcher, so the program can be placed on the desktop for easy access? Freeware/shareware preferred, but not essential.

SPB PocketPlus can give you a soft reset applet in a menu list when you hold the x button with your stylus. psShutXP was the freeware favorite for X50v users. I'm not sure if it works with WM5.

Magic Button allows you to soft reset as well as closing apps when you hit the X. It's freeware and easily found on Google. It works fine with WM5 though you might want to leave the battery meter off.

Wisbar Advance 2 also works with WM5 and gives an easy access power-off or soft-reset button.

psShutXP works good with WM5. It's free, and small and skinable.

Hi,
If you don't mind to spend a few bucks XCPUScalar from www.immiersoft.com will give you a big boost to your CPU and also a Power Off and Soft reset buttons in your desktop.

When I tried doing a soft reset with psShutXP on my X50v running WM5, I got a flood of error messages saying gwes.exe had crashed upon reboot. Maybe it was just a fluke... I've had much better success using Magic Button to do soft resets.

I use DinarSoft's Handy Menu. It allows you to place an icon on the screen and you can perform a soft reset with a couple of taps. It also allows you to do a hard reset just as easily. It is quite inexpensive and works wonderfully!

I've used a combination of Handymenu and HandyLauncher for quite a while. They are both very nice.

I am trying SKMenu right now and it also has an option to soft reset.
