Pocket Plus battery life indicator

Hi. Im using PP and i have the battery life meter running on the today screen. Im using a X51v .
After charging to 100%, PP stated that the battery would last for 4 hours and 30 minutes. Im using a standard 1100Mah battery. Is this normal?
I have heard that the battery life would last for about 8 hours or so. Is it normal or are my batteries faulty?

On the Battery Icon, tap & hold to Options, you will see two selections:

( ) Use statistically estimated battery lifetime: Battery lifetime (min) 233.

( ) Used fixed battery lifetime: Battery lifetime (min) [ ]

One way to find out is to run your Axim without WiFi and see what the battery lifetime is at 100% CPU usage. Then enter that into the custom field.

I don't really pay attention to that indicator, as I use the one at the very top that appears with most every application (save a few games).

Some programs don't allow you to adjust the lifetime minutes, and give you a false reading. Least SPB gives the user the option to change this timer.

But is it normal that i get a battery life of around 4 hours or so? Isnt it rather short for a X51v??

ya if your watching a movie playing a game or doing anything else which is using 100% of the CPU or lighting the screen and volume at full blast.. 4 would be about right.. light to med use the battery should last all day..

Depends upon what you do with your Axim as to how long the battery will last. CPU setting, Backlight, WiFi use, Gaming, etc.

7 users with the same battery type and size all could see different battery lifetimes, depending what they use and how they use it.

I use a 2200 mHA battery and have two 1100 mAH sitting here. College soon, and may end up buying another 2200 mHA battery to throw in the charger as I use WiFi when I want to research an item.
The college did have wifi last year, so hoping they will have this year too.

As far as statistics go, from what my father told me: There are white lies. There are bold lies. Then there are statistics.
