Is there a program that will let me install a cab file over PIE?

For example, if i were to download agile messenger from their website in cab format, how do I actually download it and get it installed?

Just click on it in your file manager. On WM5, PIE lets you "open" it immediately after downloading (which installs it).

You can also use CabInstall ( http://s-k.al.ru ) if you want to choose where the app is installed.

but when you click on a link to a cab file on pie, then it just 'opens' it, but all you see is random text characters.
