Anyone tried Speedscript software keyboard?

I've looked at all the keyboard substitutes and so far SpeedScript (http://www.speedscript.biz/default.aspx) looks the most impressive. They have a good animated tour that demonstrates how it works. Would be interested to know if anyone has tried it.

I just bought it and it is so intuitive I can't believe it. I have used Fitaly for about a year and I'm already typing faster with SpeedScript. Very smart design.

I wouldn't mind having a look at it, but need a CAB file to install... no ActiveSync
pencil and paper: n.An archaic information storage and transmission device that works by depositing smears of graphite on bleached wood pulp. More recent developments in paper-based technology include improved ‘write-once’ update devices which use tiny rolling heads similar to mouse balls to deposit colored pigment.

Hello Mokubai,

you can download a cab file (english) from here:
http://www.speedscript.biz/SpS_WinMobileCAB_EN

I'm sure you know, but just to play safe:
Extract the .cab file from the Zip file. Copy the file with the extension .cab into the Windows/Startup directory on your mobile device. Open File Explorer on your mobile device via Start|Programs and go to the Windows/Startup directory. Tap on the SpeedScript file.

Best wishes and lots of fun with SpeedScript

Well I've been using this solidly for the last week and I agree with you 100%. Although I absolutely love Fitaly this software has me hooked. When I first saw it I bought it without even trialling it ( I know... broke every rule in my book too ! Good move tho despite an initial little hiccup)

Pros: fast, intuitive, easy to learn, stable- love it. Did I say fast ? Zoooommmmm.........

Cons: Actually , none.
but......(me being picky !) graphics for keyboard need improving cp with Fitaly (looks not so slick , sorry to say this Mr speedscript- like you've typed the letter and stuck it on a piece of colored paper....), would be nice to be able to skin keyboard as I am not too impressed with the colors ( more of a blue kind of person rather than -ick- yellow !). Realistically - "cons" are just really a wish list. Keyboard perfectly useable as is, and isn't this the whole point ???!!!! I can speedscript now faster than I can type on a BT keyboard....woo hoo !!

I've tried it... and i really don't like it.. but then fitality did nothing for me either. It could be a learning curve thing, but I spend so much time with it thinking about how to write, that i lose track of what i'm writing. it doesn't seem intuative at all

If other's are having success with it then great, but as for me it's back to tengo

Yeh I guess everyone is different- I am not a fan of Tengo but it's also a great little program and I can certainly see why you like it- it's just not fast enough in my hands. Perhaps it also was a learning curve thing (who here has tried speed reading ?) but I did invest a lot of time usind tengo. I write lecture notes in shorthand and SS is like electronic shorthand in concept only you don't need to transcribe later ! Training: For me , all I did was run through the example/learning option on the speedscript keyboard a couple of times and I was up and running. I also did a little mind-shifting as it were - you have to think about where the vowels are in a word if you want to utilise the full power of it but this "clicks" pretty quickly and then it just snowballs.
Anyway fortunately there are enough options for everyone as far as keyboards go !
