Hello to all aximsite friends and axim lovers...

I want to know if there is a file-share program like limewire or kazaa, but for our axim...

Thank

Isn't file sharing of this kind totally illegal & likely to bring Aximsite into disrepute? (that's a rhetorical question of course as we all know it's mainly used for illegal stuff). If you don't buy Firefly / Serenity they won't make any more applies here

What is Firefly / Serenity? P2P program? I am trying to avoid the whole moral lecture everyone wants to give...I just asked if anyone knew of any software that would work with PPC. If we just stick to the question, Aximsite is fine, I didnt ask where I could download mp3s and dvd rips...I simply am looking at carrying my ppc more than my laptop...because my Axim rocks!

My two cents

P2P itself is not illegal.. depends on what files you are sharing.

Yes, its just that many people use it to get movies and music, and THAT is illegal, not P2P itself.

The problem is not the legal status, the problem is: Unless your PPC is powered by cold fusion, what's the use? They don't have enought juice.

I dont really see the need to have it on your ppc as it is easier on your desktop, you have more space there, and it is most likely connected to the internet more.

But if you really do need it, I have not heard of any P2P clients for a Pocket PC

It could be very useful when you are travelling or just don't have your pc around you. It doesn't have to be running on battery.. AC power+internet would do the job nicely.

..and seems like ppl are missing this.. so here it is again

You probably won't find any because the main purpose of those programs is to load enough spyware onto your PC that it is functionally useless. Since the browser on WM5 doesn't support popups and spyware can easily be removed with a hardreset nobody is going to get paid to provide this free service on WM5.

You will have to wait for WM6. Of coarse by then you will be getting cell messages telling you how you can pay some service to quit calling you to sell you the service to stop calling you.
