SPB Pocket Plus?

Hi guys after having to hard-reset my Axim, due to Battery Pack Plus, I installed SPB Pocket Plus. Everything is working and is better so far but I have a question. After I installed it, on the top of my screen I have a row of what I would call tabs. It is only along the top above the start menu button and across past the time. Is this normal? If it isn't, how do I fix it?

That's normal, it's a battery indicator and can be disabled or made larger if desired. In Start|Settings|System, open Spb Pocket Plus and you'll see the options.

Yes, those are perfectly normal.

Thanks, I went and looked at the Virtual Tour and saw them on the screen also. I was just a little worried. How is SPB weahter? And is there any reasons to buy the back-up software?

I've used the weather program. It's all right. It cluttered up my today screen too much so I took it off. As for the back up software, I have no idea. Sorry.

I wanted to buy SPB weather, but my wife said "What for!? it's always 82 & Sunny in Puerto Rico!!!" But it does allow you the option of putting several cities (up to six I believe), the trial version was pretty cool!

Weather

You can make weather one of your tabs along with your other tabs so it doesn't take up extra room. Go to Spb settings> Today Plug-In> tabs> Add> Spb Weather. I have six tabs (Tools, Programs, Games, Weather, Spb To Play, and Spb Folder. Since you only display one tab at a time it doesn't eat up your screen space. I use icons rather than word titles for my tabs.

There's a reason to backup your Axim, should you have to hard reset, or lose complete battery power... i've used the restore option once, and it works like a charm... sets the registry to re-install all your stuff automatically, and that's about it... everything on my PPC, including the backup programs only took up 2Mb space on my 1Gb CF card! The only programs I install in main memory are the ones that require it... theoretically, that'll allow the axim to run faster.

So the back-up just restores the Axim to where it was at the time of the back-up? No re-installing programs and entering in registraton numbers. Do you back it up regularly? Is it ok to install programs such as trials and take them off if you don't like them? I would like to back-up my Axim since I just hard-reset it but I also installed and removed to games.

I now have a SPB backup - works great

I backup every night, and keep seven days worth.
