Your kinda pick'n at a sore here. That is part of the complain about WM5's crippled bluetooth stack. One of the things missing is the Bluetooth manager. Microsoft is moving toward the you don't need to know what is going on and there is nothing for you to set up way of doing things. Which is great when things work. When things don't work I have not found them really usefull anyway. Just takes longer to figure it wont work. Changing baud rate, port, interupts, addresses, like you said blah blah blah.
Just about everyone on this forum has spent time googling away looking for this one. I have not seen or heard any alternatives.

You can send file via BT using the file explorer. Just right-click on file and select Beam, it will then search for your phone (make sure it is set to discoverable). I bought Resco Explorer which makes the process even nicer, plus it comes packed with a registry editor, network browser, and ftp client. You can send files from your phone to your Axim no problem either. On my phone I just "copy" the file and select the device I want to send it to. If you're looking for some sort of folder view of your axim/phone files you're outta luck....doesn't exist for the x51's.

BT is not that simple. Basically you have to
1) Turn BT on on both devices and make sure both are set to discoverable. 2) Discover systems near me - on both sides You and the nokia both have to do this and each must find the other before proceeding. If they do not find each other try doing simutanious searches (both actually searching at the same time. 3) Discover services - on both sides. This seems to do more than just piss you off because your favorite service is not listed. This seems to be a must on the first time two devices are paired. 4) if no services are found check to see if they are enabled. My laptop keeps shuttion all services off for some reason. 5) The first time they connect you will be asked for a security code. I used "d" the last time and it worked fine. Put the same security code in both devices when asked. 6) If you got this far then you are ready to transfer files.
