Hi, I was wondering if anybody can help...

I downloaded both versions (1 and 2) of MS's theme generator power toy. I installed it on my PII running win 98 (after upgrading my win installer to the latest version).

When I launch it it throws an error:

It says something like:

'skinapp.exe cant launch due to the missing link file shell32.dll is linked to...'

(..then some other text...linke...WinAppMgr etc)


I checked shell32.dll and it is there, I put in my win 98 disk and loaded a few things....I scandisked it thoroughly...no dice!

Any ideas how I can get it to run? I am really keen to get ot going can anybody help.....?

If I get it going I promise to post some nice themes...I do a lot of graphic work and have some pretty neat photos...

Theme generator only works with 2000 and xp.

I would do the upgrade for the os,98 is boring compared to win xp.

Ahh, but will it work with my 233Mhz Pentium II? If it will it is not a bad bet for a number of reasons.

Actually MS claim that Theme Generator 2 will work with 98 (they expressly say that version 1 will not)

I will keep trying.

I don't think xp will work on a 233 p2.

But i hope ms theme generator 2 will work for you.
