A few thoughts from an average user.

I have had my x51v since Christmas and after all the early problems and upgrades etc. am finally at the stage where I am fairly happy with it. I use it mainly for navigation with the Dell/Navtec bluetooth GPS (faultless) and as a general "toy". My today screen consists of cLaunch and Magic Button which suit me fine but are not in the same class as some of the screens in the "Today Screen" thread. This site has some really clever members.
I was prompted to make this post by what I don't know about a lot of the programmes I use. I have been using Magic Button for a couple of months now, mainly because it suits me but I was always a bit puzzled because I could never see a battery monitor after I ticked it on the settings page. It was only after reading a post and an answer last week about a white line at the top of the screen that it all became clear.
Most of the "freeware" I use is really great but most of it lacks any form of manual or effective help file (I know you get what you pay for) so in most cases I (and maybe others) are not getting the maximum benefit from the software we use.

Great point by Bobby. I was like you Graham, when I started. I got my pda just for navigation and then found Aximsite. Then I started reading threads and realized there was alot you could do with your Ax, but I always thought that was just for other people.

But somewhere the light went on, that and a need to be productive at work caused me to actively search for ideas and solutions. Now I use my Ax every day. I do things with it I never thought I'd be doing, like watching movies, taking notes w/Tengo Thumb and PI, using Flex Wallet to keep all my passwords, Phatpad for handwritten notes, wifi and tons more. All the info is here, either ask for help or search for it.
