Free Terminal Emulator (com port)

I need a free terminal emulator that will use the Axim com port (via serial sync cable > null modem link). And also one that will also use IP telnet so I can console and telnet into routers/switches.

Any one find one yet?

Well you know you need the serial cable so I won't remind you of that.

I use these two utilities.

VXUtil - handles all my Ping, TraceRoute, NSLookup queries. (free)
PockeTTY - handles all my Telnet. Believe me, its well worth the money if you want to really use Telnet on PPC. I have yet to see a free Telnet client that is worth downloading. ($40 for full, $15 for lite)

As far as I can tell, PockeTTY Lite has just telnet and serial terminal. So if you don't need SSH, its perfect. I needed SSH so I have the full version. PockeTTY Lite is here...

You'll love it. I am very impressed tith Dejavu Software and their products.

I too had tried Zterm, but settled on PockeTTY because it worked everytime.

Not sure, I use the Dell Serial cable... Does the Gomadic have the standard 9 pin on the end? If so I can't imagine it not working....

Yea it's the standard 9 pin serial. I bought it to connect my cell to my laptop so it's going thru the comcube. I'll try it out tomorrow in the office and post back.
Thanks!

Well it didn't work. Taking a closer look at the Gomadic connector, they're only using 4 wires to the serial connector. Probably just what's needed to dial with the cell phone.
