Free Terminal Emulator (com port)
I need a free terminal emulator that will use the Axim com port (via serial sync cable > null modem link). And also one that will also use IP telnet so I can console and telnet into routers/switches.
Any one find one yet? | ||||

Well you know you need the serial cable so I won't remind you of that.
I use these two utilities. VXUtil - handles all my Ping, TraceRoute, NSLookup queries. (free) PockeTTY - handles all my Telnet. Believe me, its well worth the money if you want to really use Telnet on PPC. I have yet to see a free Telnet client that is worth downloading. ($40 for full, $15 for lite) | ||||||||||

As far as I can tell, PockeTTY Lite has just telnet and serial terminal. So if you don't need SSH, its perfect. I needed SSH so I have the full version. PockeTTY Lite is here...

Not sure, I use the Dell Serial cable... Does the Gomadic have the standard 9 pin on the end? If so I can't imagine it not working....

Well it didn't work. Taking a closer look at the Gomadic connector, they're only using 4 wires to the serial connector. Probably just what's needed to dial with the cell phone.
