I posted this the other day thinking it was a bit of common knowledge, but a good tip for the beginners, turns out it wasn't so common. It's nice to help some folks save a chunk of change just by using a utility that was out there for free.

The app has come to life!

 

This trick has been around since last November. There are lots of other programs you can use this method for too.

An even easier way is to use the new applet, ForceHiRes that accomplishes the same results with less effort.

Yes, Avant Go and Acrobat in particular. Never thought of Cerdisp until now, though. Thanks for info on ForceHiRes.

However, WM5 is not supported.

Works fine with my x51v and wm5

Not always does "Not Supported" mean "Doesn't Work". This utility has been out for a couple years prior to WM5 and hasn't been updated since. But it does work ... and I have yet to find anything that makes it become unstable.
